Christina Foster is 19 years old and has lived in Van Zandt County
since 1987. She attended Martins Mill ISD through the Seventh grade, after
which she was homeschooled by her parents. She graduated a homeschooled
student at the age of 16. She is currently attending Tyler Junior College
where she is majoring in Government and Political Science with a minor in
American History.
Christina became involved in the political process when she was 15
years old. She began by working for candidates at the local level during
general elections. She has since worked for candidates at the State level,
participating in phone banks, mail outs, community walks etc. She has worked
as the assistant judge in her precinct during elections. In 2002 she was
voted to be one of the Alternate Delegates to the Texas Republican
Convention.
Christina feels that Faith in God, family values and morality
should be what govern our nation. As President Rutherford B. Hayes put it,
"It is now true that this is God's country, if equal rights- a fair start
and an equal chance in the race of life are everywhere secured to all."
Christina feels that we should never tire in the fight to keep and preserve
the rights that have been given and ordained by God.
Christina likes the way Gerald Ford said it," A government big enough
to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from
you everything you have. "
Christina now serves as Chair of the Membership Committee. She
looks forward to working in Government for the glory of God and to the
benefit of his people and all mankind. "If you abide in my word, you are my
diciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free". John 8:31-32
