Eight year resident of Wills Point, Timna Rutledge works to spread the vision of the Republican Party of Texas and Van Zandt County in areas of educational choice, maintaining and safeguarding traditional family values, and pro-life issues.

Home schooling mother of four, Ms. Rutledge is devoted primarily to her faith in Jesus Christ, and the nurture and training of her son and three daughters. These priorities have fueled her desire over the past 17 years to see that Texans and Americans in general continue to enjoy the freedoms provided by God, at the hands of this nation's founding fathers. As Benjamin Franklin put it, "Freedom is not a gift bestowed upon us by other men, but a right that belongs to us by the laws of God and nature."

Ms. Rutledge currently chairs the Public Relations Committee of the Republican Club of Van Zandt County. She has worked in numerous campaigns, elections, and has attended six State Republican Conventions since 1988. She is also the Van Zandt County Republican Precinct 13 Chairman.
